Biography:
Born in Gouda, Holland, Cornelius Ketel spent the majority of his career in his hometown and in Amsterdam. However, he also spent some time in England and France, painting a portrait of Queen Elizabeth I in 1578. Ketel’s greatest paintings are his group portraits.
